What is Abundantly More?
One set of Bible verses, 5 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Each week, we select a Bible verse and provide a short devotional to help get you thinking about it. The rest of the week is yours to explore the passage and what it means. We encourage the following format.
Write the passage in a journal and read the words out loud – slowly and intentionally while thinking about what each one means.
What does this passage reveal about God? Who is He? What has He done? What do these verses disclose about His character, His conduct, or His concerns? What part of the trinity does this passage refer to?
What does this passage reveal about me? Does it expose a negative attitude, a harsh feeling, an improper action, or a sinful tendency? Or does it stimulate the positive attributes of faith that I already live out?
Is there something God wants me to understand? Is there a command to obey, an example to follow, a promise to claim, a sin to avoid, or a principle to practice?
How does God want me to respond? What actions are there for me to follow? Is there a reason to praise Him, a sin to confess and repent of, or a promise to believe in? Does this passage encourage reconciliation? Or do these verses teach about how to love, serve, and care for others?
